Wanted: Automation Technologist / Project Manager

Axiom Machinery Inc. is a manufacturer and assembler of various industrial machines and is located in Cambridge, Ontario. Much of what we build is custom made. We build hydraulic presses, press brakes, temperature control units, melting furnaces and much more. This position involves building, installing, testing, and debugging a wide variety of machines, electrical devices, and control systems. We require an exceptionally talented, skilled and organized individual to handle the various aspects designing complete control systems. You will be working with various electrical design and programming software to develop and implement custom solutions based on customer requirements. Some of the work will be electrical design, some programming, a little hydraulic and a little mechanical. You will be actively participating in all phases of the project including design, programming, installation, start-up support, training and future customer support. You will also manage 2 or 3 projects per month.

The successful candidate needs to be a leader, and needs to have a positive attitude, is open minded, and is flexible. You must be a hardworking, self-motivated, dedicated. This position requires a wide variety of skills and experience and so requires a multi-discipline individual who can handle various processes, operating systems, company employees and technologies.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Systems engineering Systems specifications Commissioning & startup Project documentation Technical support Make electrical wiring drawings Manage 2 or 3 projects per month Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems Be imaginative to finding solutions to problems as they come up

Qualifications and Skills:

5+ years' experience in engineering and programming complete machine systems CAD Design Ethernet IP Experience ABB & Fanuc and other Robot Programming are assets Exceptional Work Ethic and self-motivated

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
