YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Underground Electrical General Supervisor, you will be part of the Maintenance Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.Align work with budget and considerations that support the mine with safety and cost-conscious awareness;
Perform daily performance coaching with employees to facilitate the best outcomes with employees' input being supported and responsibilities devolved for specific workplace activities;
Provide support for work to be completed by employees on the front line that is organized, planned,
resourced with considerations of common sense and best practice, applying change management principles where applicable;
Be responsible and accountable for ensuring the reliability, operability, and maintenance of defined assets and equipment;
Be accountable for managing coordinated work and establishing priorities with maintenance personnel to ensure minimal interruptions to the operation;
Hold Team Leaders accountable for daily/weekly performance;
Manage PM's, repairs, and maintenance activities;
Transition the operation from reactive maintenance to reliability maintenance footing;
Apply Management of Change (MoC) principles to modifications and any material changes to equipment or physical environment;
Communicate effectively and provide positive reinforcement with crews in terms of safety work procedures, expectations, productivity, and any relevant information related to the employees' work scope;
Inspect work to provide positive reinforcement or to identify training needs;
Communicate all pertinent information to the Assistant General Supervisor for the safe continuation of work;
Be responsible for reporting each shift to the Assistant General Supervisor on progress, status, work completed and any safety issues identified;
Remain aware of any hazards identified or any safety issues that need to be rectified, escalating with appropriate actions, including reporting;
Review Zero Harm cards and sign, date, and code accordingly, ensuring is accurate in SIMS and appropriately reconcilable for audit purposes consistent with SOX;
Communicate effectively (Consult & Inform) with other department personnel to plan and schedule required work;
Ensure that the crew is working safely and that all relevant information/support is given;
Conduct and record workplace inspections, job task evaluations, and compliance checks;
Create work orders and stock sign-out slips;
Co-Ordinate with Assistant General Supervisor in planning work flow.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Assistant General Supervisor from time to time.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
High School Diploma or GED;
Red Seal Certification in Electrical;
5 years of experience in an industrial/mining setting;
5 years of experience working with Automation and Telecommunication;
5 years of experience with PLC's and HMI Software, Emerson Brand Preferred;
Demonstrated experience team coordination, task delegation and supporting supervisory responsibilities;
Experience with underground LTE Networks;
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with inventory management software applications such as SAP;
Valid G Driver's License.
