We are looking for a talented Automation Software Specialist to join our team specializing in Engineering for our New Power Business Segment in Mississauga, Ontario Canada / your remote home office. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Responsible for the control system engineering activities for one or more electrolyzer control system software modules
• Engineering activities may include specification, design, implementation, configuration, and testing
• Configures control system components, including PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs
• Assists with commissioning of control systems including Ethernet networks, fieldbuses, and smart instrumentation including installation, testing, and troubleshooting
• Develops and maintains documentation for the electrolyzer control system

Qualifications To be successful in this role you will need the following: Qualifications

• Ability to work well in teams and independently
• Takes initiative, is innovative, and has keen attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multitasking environment with plant engineers, external vendors, operators, and management to manage projects and assignments

Education, Licenses, Certifications

• College, university, or equivalent Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is required.
• Post-graduate (Master\'s) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

• At least 4 years of programming experience programming on both PLC/DCS and HMI/SCADA systems
• Experience programming on Siemens TIA Portal and WinCC preferred
• At least 6 months of cumulative site assistance or commissioning experience with industrial control systems
