The successful candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, experience in industrial automation engineering design / analysis, with project management and business development skills. This is a hybrid position that will be based out of our St. John\xe2\x80\x99s, NL office.Primary Responsibilities

• Work within a multidisciplinary design team as a Design Engineer, reporting to the Project Manager
• Complete site visits to document existing conditions in both greenfield and brownfield projects
• Carry out automation detailed design / analysis (block diagrams, network architecture, I/O List, instrumentation list, loop diagrams, control schematics, functional descriptions, control narratives, cable lists, construction specifications, etc.)
• Develop, modify, and review PLC/DCS Programs
• Prepare detailed drawing review and mark-up for designers / drafters
• Complete projects from kick-off through completion of Construction and Commissioning
• Industrial, Electric Utility (with focus on mining and electrical utility facilities), commercial, institutional, and government projects
• Equipment commissioning and testing

Qualifications

• University Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent related discipline
• Registered or able to register as an Engineer with the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland & Labrador (PEGNL)
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Familiarity with Rockwell Automation PLC\xe2\x80\x99s \xe2\x80\x93 an asset
• Proven experience in site work, detailed design, project engineering, and construction
• Capacity to interact within a multidisciplinary environment - an asset
• Client-focused and keen to understand their problems and recommend solutions
