Gate Service Technician

In this role, you will apply your deep knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and diagnostics to install, troubleshoot, and repair sophisticated automated gate systems. Key Responsibilities
Electrical Installation & Wiring:
Perform the installation, wiring, and commissioning of gate operators, access control devices (keypads, card readers, etc.), and safety equipment according to NEC and local codes.
Expert Troubleshooting:
Use your advanced diagnostic skills to quickly identify and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, and low-voltage control system failures in automated gates.
System Integration:
Install and configure peripheral devices, including loops, sensors, photo-eyes, and communication systems.
Preventative Maintenance:
Conduct routine maintenance to ensure the longevity and reliable operation of customer gate systems.
Customer Interaction:
Clearly communicate technical issues and solutions to customers, providing exceptional service and training on system operation.
Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and interpret electrical schematics, construction blueprints, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installation and repair.

Qualifications & Requirements
Current Journeyman Electrician License
(or equivalent Master/Apprentice status with significant experience).
Proven experience in
electrical troubleshooting
and
wiring installation
.
Familiarity with low-voltage wiring and control systems is highly desirable (but we will train on gate-specific controls!).
Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand/power tools.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Valid G class driver's license and clean driving record.
