ORCA are a leading manufacturer of high-quality modular homes in Vancouver Island.

We are seeking a skilled Architectural Draftsperson to join our dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed architectural drawings and plans, design co-ordination with clients and maintaining efficient drawing revision and naming conventions.

ORCA as a manufacturer are seeking someone who will help us drive efficiency in the design and manufacture process by optimizing our existing catalogue of modular homes as well as bringing to life new concepts as we evolve.

This role requires a strong understanding of design principles, building codes and proficiency within Autodesk Revit digital environment.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and Revit. Create schematics for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with clients, project managers, and production teams to gather requirements and incorporate feedback into designs. Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications and reports. Review designs for errors or inconsistencies before finalizing documents. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in drafting technology.

Qualifications

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required Strong understanding of drafting principles and techniques. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with team members. Experience in engineering field is a plus. A degree or certification in Drafting Technology or a related field is preferred.

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
