Job Description

We're seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented and technically proficient AutoCAD Drafter and Operations Coordinator to join our innovative home automation team. The ideal candidate will have strong drafting skills and experience producing precise technical drawings for residential, commercial projects. An electrical background is considered an asset, especially for projects involving lighting layouts, access control, smart home integration, and low-voltage infrastructure.

Description of Duties:

Create and modify CAD drawings for smart home layouts, wiring schematics, and device placements

Collaborate with engineers and installers to ensure design accuracy and feasibility

Maintain design documentation and version control across projects

Assist in product selection and layout planning based on client needs and system requirements

Organize and optimize office layout, inventory, and equipment for project readiness

Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and communication between design, sales, and installation teams

Manage procurement of supplies and ensure timely delivery of components

Support onboarding of new staff and maintain operational documentation

Track project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation

Identify workflow bottlenecks and propose process improvements

Prepare reports and presentations for internal reviews and client meetings

Qualifications:

Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required, 3D an Asset)

Diploma or certificate in drafting, architectural technology, or related field

2+years in drafting for construction or engineering project

Familiarity with building codes, construction terminology, and technical documentation

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Electrical knowledge (e.g., wiring diagrams, panel layouts, lighting control system) is a strong asset

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Work under pressure

Position entails of balance responsibilities, with approximately of 90% office-based task and 10% on-site work

Capable of lifting 50 Ibs

Working Hours

Minimum of 30 hours subject to change

First two weeks paid training period will consider as trial phase to evaluate performance, engagement and alignment role.

Successful completion leads into the formal three months Probation period.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.50-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Work Location: In person
