Key Responsibilities



As a Red Seal Certified Automotive Service Technician, your responsibilities will include:

Perform Comprehensive Maintenance: Execute a full spectrum of routine services including fluid exchanges, battery diagnostics, tire services, and under-hood inspections. Conduct Advanced Diagnostics: Utilize cutting-edge equipment and analytical skills to pinpoint complex vehicle issues across all systems (engine, electrical, braking, suspension). Execute Expert Repairs: Perform intricate repairs with meticulous attention to detail, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices. Ensure Rigorous Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough post-repair testing, including road tests, to verify complete resolution and adherence to our stringent quality standards. Guarantee Provincial Compliance: Perform detailed vehicle safety and emissions inspections, identifying and documenting any necessary repairs to meet regulatory requirements. Maintain Exemplary Workplace Standards: Uphold the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization in your work bay, ensuring proper tool and equipment maintenance. Contribute to Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate with service advisors to clearly articulate technical findings, providing transparent information to customers.

Qualifications and Requirements



Red Seal Certified: A valid Red Seal Automotive Service Technician certification is an absolute requirement. Experience: A baseline of 4 years of verifiable experience as a certified automotive technician in a professional setting is preferred. We're flexible on years in the trade for the right skilled candidate. Diagnostic Acumen: Superior proficiency in diagnosing intricate vehicle malfunctions and developing effective repair solutions. Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of all vehicle systems, including advanced electronics, powertrain, chassis, and safety. Tool Proficiency: Expert command of contemporary diagnostic tools, specialized equipment, and standard automotive repair instruments. We use industry-standard software for service and repair. Valid Nova Scotia Driver's License: A clean and valid Class 5 Nova Scotia Driver's License is essential. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, capable of clearly articulating complex technical information. Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to all tasks, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and quality. Physical Dexterity: Capability to perform the physical demands of the role, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Valued Assets (Bonus Points)



Refrigerant Handling Certificate: Possession of a current Refrigerant Handling Certificate (e.g., ODP, MACS, Section 609). Specialized training or certifications from leading automotive manufacturers, particularly Toyota brands, given our loyal customer base. Experience with specific diagnostic software or advanced vehicle technologies.

Compensation and Benefits



As a Uni-Pro service provider, Seabreeze Garage offers a highly competitive compensation package commensurate with experience and expertise:

Competitive Hourly Rate: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour, based on your demonstrated skill set and relevant experience.
