Job Overview:

The Auto Parts Counter Person serves as the first point of contact for both internal (service technicians) and external customers seeking automotive parts. This role is responsible for identifying, locating, and selling the appropriate parts to customers and service technicians while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers in person and by phone in a professional and courteous manner. Assist technicians and customers in identifying correct parts using catalogs or electronic inventory systems. Process parts sales efficiently through the dealership's point-of-sale system. Advise technician and customers on substitution or modification of parts when necessary. Maintain knowledge of current promotions and dealership parts offerings. Follow up on backordered items and notify customers or technicians promptly when parts arrive. Monitor inventory levels and report low stock or discrepancies to the Parts Manager. Assist with parts receiving, stocking, labeling, and organizing inventory.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; automotive or technical training is a plus. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an automotive parts role (dealership experience preferred). Strong knowledge of automotive parts and systems, preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing and inventory tracking Strong computer literacy skills and the ability to learn electronic parts catalogues and dealership software Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Valid Ontario Class G Driver's license and clean abstract (proof required).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
