Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dealership environment and possess strong mechanical knowledge. This role involves repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. The Auto Body Technician will utilize various hand and power tools, perform heavy lifting, and apply automotive repair techniques to efficiently complete repairs.

Responsibilities

Repair and replace damaged vehicle panels, frames, and other body components using specialized tools and techniques Perform dent removal, sanding, filling, priming, and painting to restore vehicles to factory standards Use hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment safely and effectively Conduct inspections to assess damage and determine the necessary repairs Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining quality standards Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times Document repair procedures and communicate progress with management and customers as needed

Qualifications

Previous dealership experience or automotive repair background preferred Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and bodywork techniques Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) Experience with automotive painting, dent removal, and frame straightening is a plus Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment Mechanic experience or related technical training is highly desirable

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
