Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Auto Body Helper to assist our experienced technicians in performing high-quality vehicle repairs and restorations. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in automotive repair, auto body work, and fabrication. The Auto Body Helper will support various tasks including vehicle preparation, assembly, and finishing, ensuring that all work meets safety and quality standards. Prior dealership experience or mechanic background is a plus, but a strong willingness to learn and a passion for automotive work are essential.

Duties

Assist with auto body repairs, including sheet metal work, auto painting, and auto glass installation Support welding tasks such as MIG welding, soldering, and general fabrication using power tools and hand tools Help with vehicle maintenance, detailing, and assembly of parts during repair processes Prepare vehicles for painting using airless paint spraying techniques and other finishing methods Perform heavy lifting of parts and components safely to aid in repair and restoration projects Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency Support auto restoration projects by assisting with mechanical repairs and component replacements Aid in the use of auto estimating tools to assess damage and plan repairs when necessary Assist with customer service interactions by ensuring timely completion of work orders

Qualifications

Previous dealership experience or automotive repair background highly preferred Knowledge of MIG welding, soldering, sheet metal fabrication, and auto body repair techniques Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto painting methods Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto restoration processes Experience with auto glass installation, auto painting (including airless paint spraying), and auto estimating is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship Excellent teamwork skills with a customer service-oriented mindset Prior experience in automotive repair or mechanic work is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential

Pay: $17.00-$23.00 per hour
