The Director, Audit Services is accountable for planning and directing audit projects of all types (key risk audits, project risk reviews, defined procedures, SOX, and MAR audits, etc.) for functions in Human Resources, Global Procurement and Global Marketing.

Responsibilities

Plan, direct and control the annual audit plan for assigned areas, reporting to Audit Services senior management on plan progress and any needed revisions.

Schedule and assign audit projects to audit staff in a coordinated effort with other directors and managers to maximize the utilization of resources, further the development of staff, and provide the optimal assurance for the risks covered.

Manage and provide feedback to a team of approximately 6 to 8 individuals with varying levels of experience. Complete performance appraisals and work with staff to ensure appropriate development and training is provided.

Ensure quality of work completed, quality of audit issues and recommendations, and adherence to Audit Services methodology and IIA standards.

Present audit findings and recommendations to senior segment and functional management; including high quality written reports.

Assist business unit management by providing risk management advisory / consulting support through recommendations or advisory engagements.

Recruit and develop top talent and maintain high employee engagement in the team.

Effectively collaborate with peers in Audit Services and the business to support continuous improvement and efficiencies.

Deliver annual SOX and MAR testing in collaboration with Management, SOX/MAR PMO and CCOEs as well as the External Auditor.

The mandate of Audit Services is to provide independent and objective assurance and advisory activities to contribute and improve the operations of the Company. In this role you in Audit Services you will assist the Company in achieving its Strategic Objectives through a well-adapted approach to evaluate the efficiency of the Company\xe2\x80\x99s governance, risk management and internal control processes.

What we are looking for

Minimum of 10 years of audit, risk management, advisory/consulting experience or relevant prior procurement or human resources experience.

Minimum of 4 years of management experience.

University degree is required. A recognized accounting (CPA, CA) or auditing (CIA, CISA) designation is preferable, but not essential for candidates with good industry experience.

Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to effectively communicate ideas and recommendations, and to listen and consider ideas of others.

Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work with and influence management at various levels of the organization.

Innovative thinking and commitment to continuous improvement to enhance quality of audit work and efficiencies in audit processes.

Ability to work efficiently in diverse environments and cultures.

Knowledge of the data analysis tools is preferred.

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location Toronto, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between $100,500.00 CAD - $180,900.00 CAD
