Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced technician who takes pride in clean, reliable work and has a solid background in installing commercial AV systems. In this role, you will be responsible for building and integrating complete audio visual setups in a variety of spaces including conference rooms, classrooms, collaboration areas, and larger public environments. This is a full-time position that requires someone who is comfortable working on-site and handling professional equipment.

This opportunity is focused on fixed commercial installations, not IT support, desktop support, or live events. To succeed in this role, you should already have mid to senior level experience with commercial AV installation and be confident working with low-voltage cabling, hardware mounting, and system wiring. Key Responsibilities

Core AV System Installation

Install and configure AV systems including displays, speakers, DSPs, microphones, cameras, control panels, and projectors Run, terminate, test, and label AV and low-voltage cabling including CAT6A, RG6, 22/2, 22/4, speaker wire, and balanced audio such as XLR Perform basic soldering when required Mount equipment securely and cleanly following drawings and scope documents Dress, secure, and manage cabling within AV racks Assist with commissioning, testing, and system handover

Advanced Technical Tasks

Interpret system schematics, line diagrams, and rack elevations Understand signal flow in analog, digital, audio, and video formats Configure basic network elements including LAN, PoE, and wireless point-to-point Work with AV protocols and standards including HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C, HDBaseT, and IP-based video Follow industry best practices for cable management, rack construction, and termination

What You Bring

3 to 5 years of commercial AV installation experience Experience with system integration or construction environments Strong craftsmanship and attention to detail Ability to work efficiently in client-occupied spaces Problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn advanced systems Comfortable lifting 50 pounds and working on ladders or lifts Clear, professional communication skills Valid G-class driver license with a clean abstract (Must be 25 or older for insurance requirements) Working at Heights certification is required Assets include AVIXA CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Q-SYS, or similar manufacturer training
