Position Title

Athletics Games Lead Attendant (Hiring Year Round)


Position Summary


The Athletics department is hiring multiple positions with start dates throughout the year. Hours will be variable and dependent upon athletic game schedules. This posting will remain open until March 31, 2026 and review of applicants will be ongoing.



The Athletics Games Lead Attendant, under the direction of the Events and Community Engagement Coordinator, will provide support and coordination for the successful running and reporting of Intercollegiate Athletics Games at Red Deer Polytechnic and will contribute to the creation of a safe, exciting and positive environment for all participants.


Position Responsibilities


Provides direction to the game attendants during events Ensures that staff and volunteers adhere to Red Deer Polytechnic policies and practices during the events Acts as the supervisor during events to ensure procedures are followed to execute successful events Completes pre and post-event setup. Records, compiles, and reports game statistics to internal & external contacts who require this information. Directs the activities of related staff and volunteers in accordance with operational needs



Required Qualifications


High School diploma or equivalent Six months to 1 year of related experience Some experience with staff supervision An understanding of the entire game/event experience and needs of the attendants and participants Interpersonal communication skills or customer service experience



Preferred Qualifications


One year college certificate or equivalent

$20.30/hr


Benefits and Compensation Information


An additional 15% of the hourly rate in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and benefits.
