Position Summary
Under the general direction of the Manager, Housekeeping, this position is responsible for the overall supervision of Housekeeping operations and is responsible for scheduling and allocating workload. Assists with developing Performance Objectives and delivering Performance Evaluations for housekeeping team members; actively participates in the recruitment and hiring process. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities

  • Provide guidance, and resources to team members to support their performance and professional development.
  • Establish and maintain effective scheduling procedures to ensure proper staffing levels on the gaming floor.
  • Ensure all team members are equipped with necessary tools, uniforms, and supplies to perform their roles efficiently.
  • Monitor and manage team member attendance, including documentation and resolution of attendance issues.
  • Oversee and ensure timely and accurate payroll submissions and approvals.
  • Support the development and achievement of performance objectives and performance discussions of staff.
  • Participate in recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new team members.
  • Ensure all team members complete required training and maintain ongoing compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Maintain inventory of necessary gaming-related supplies and ensure operational readiness.
  • Foster a positive guest experience through timely, professional, and courteous service on the floor.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with key departments such as Security, Surveillance, Cage, and Food & Beverage.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with guests, team members, and operational stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming regulations, licensing requirements, health and safety laws, and internal policies.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to guest concerns, service issues, or incidents on the floor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Education and Qualifications
  • Post Secondary hospitality or hotel education or suitable combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 1 year housekeeping management experience
  • Food Safety Certificate, WHMIS
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • Computer literacy in MS Office, Fidelio an asset
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
Work Environment Considerations
  • Regular hotel and back-office environment, standing, walking or sitting for long periods of time, some exposure to noise, some exposure to verbal abuse, non-traditional work hours
