A career as an Associate Vice President of Agribusiness means being at the heart of the growth activities of this specialized group. You will be responsible for defining and implementing the pan-Canadian growth strategy for the Agri-Food portfolio of companies. It is with your leadership that you will mobilize a team of some 15 experts who provide advice, coaching and specialized financial services to companies in the industry. Your job

• Mobilize and coach your team members in order to increase engagement, retention and develop their talents
• Define and execute the pan-Canadian strategy for the growth of the Agri-Food portfolio
• Anticipate your team's development needs based on organizational changes and the Bank's strategic directions and prepare the next generation
• Ensure maximum visibility of the Bank in the market by organizing and participating in business development activities and market events
• Be on the lookout and predict industry trends
• Innovate by piloting the development of specialized financing offers adapted to the industry and standing out from the competition
• Build and present strategic files to senior management
• Develop new niches and business territories and define sales and development strategies according to the Bank's orientations

Required competencies

• Bachelor's degree related to the industry and 10 years of relevant experience or Master's degree related to the industry and 10 years of relevant experience
• Management, coaching and leadership skills
• Significant experience in corporate finance, including banking syndication
• Extensive expertise in complex financing structures and risk analysis
• Extensive trading experience
• Bilingualism English and French (spoken and written) essential as your mandate is pan Canadian

Preferred competencies

• Experience in the field of agriculture / agri-food
• Professional agronomist designation
