A day in the life of a Valuations Associate

• Conduct financial analysis, research, and valuation analysis to determine the value of businesses, securities, and assets for various purposes, including financial reporting, tax, and litigation purposes.
• Assist in the preparation of valuation reports for clients, including analyzing financial statements, researching industry data, and creating financial models.
• Collaborate with the litigation team to assist in the preparation of expert reports and testimony relating to damage quantification in litigation matters.
• Prepare financial models and perform calculations to assist in the quantification of damages for lost profits, business interruption, and other economic damages.
• Analyze financial data and documents to determine the financial impact of various scenarios and present findings to the litigation team.
• Assist in the preparation of settlement negotiations and participate in mediation sessions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of services and the growth of the practice.
• Participate in professional development activities and continuing education to maintain technical proficiency and stay up-to-date with industry trends and standards.

About you

• Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation or close to having the required hours
• Interest in or already pursuing the CBV designation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Intellectual curiosity
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.
