ASSOCIATE, TAX - US AND CANADIAN CROSS-BORDER TAX

AS AN ASSOCIATE, TAX YOU WILL:



Actively participate on a team that provides innovative solutions to our clients Prepare complex personal tax returns for both U.S. and Canada Identity and develop new opportunities for tax services Organize and execute client engagements through the research of technical issues and producing a work product that reaches reasonable conclusions or recommendations Interpret U.S. and Canadian tax laws and regulations and ensure that any necessary changes are made to clients' tax strategies and filing obligations Engage in regular client contact to provide superior customer service Participate in internal and external training programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:



Completion of a related undergraduate degree with required academic credentials (I.e. Management, Commerce, Business with a major in Accounting) Possession of a CPA designation or working toward a CPA designation Ability to work in individually and in teams in a fast-paced work environment managing multiple deadlines Ability to effectively work remotely, and in the office, as part of a team located in 4 different provinces Strong commitment to client service Superior verbal and written communication skills paired with the ability to actively listen Demonstrated high level analytical skills with an ability to identify issues and initiate their resolution Desire to work in cross-border taxation and develop technical skills, Ability to organize complex information to support research and tax preparation requirements 2 - 3 years' experience practicing Canadian and/or US tax would be an asset.
