Position Overview




The Associate Product Manager supports the IntelliDealer Core Product Management team in developing and delivering successful solutions that serve our dealer network. This entry-level role is designed to be a launchpad for future product leadership, offering exposure to the full product lifecycle and encouraging initiative, ownership, and innovation including the use of AI and automation to drive change.


Working closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Engineering, the Associate Product Manager contributes to product strategy, execution, and customer engagement. The role requires a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and a passion for improving user experiences and business outcomes.

Responsibilities



Product Strategy & Planning



Assist in developing and executing product strategies and roadmaps Contribute ideas and insights to roadmap discussions, including opportunities for AI-driven innovation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product goals and timelines

Market Research & Customer Insights



Conduct market research to understand customer needs, trends, and competitive landscape Use AI tools and data analytics to uncover emerging patterns and inform product decisions Engage directly with customers to gather feedback and validate product ideas

Product Solution Prioritization & Innovation



Help prioritize product solutions based on customer feedback, business goals, and market demands Advocate for high-impact solutions and functionality, including those that leverage automation or AI Drive small-scale innovation initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement

Requirements & Development Support



Collect and document product requirements from stakeholders Translate requirements into actionable tasks for engineering teams Track development progress and proactively identify blockers or improvement opportunities

Product Launch & Enablement



Support enablement efforts by creating clear, value-driven messaging for new solutions and functionality Ensure readiness across engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support teams and proactively address gaps in launch planning Ensure successful product launches by managing the development of product documentation, training resources, and internal communication content

Performance Monitoring & Reporting



Monitor product performance and user engagement metrics Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions Prepare reports that inform strategic decisions and highlight actionable insights

Ownership & Change Leadership



Take initiative to improve processes, tools, and team workflows Demonstrate ownership by driving tasks to completion and proposing new ideas Participate in internal innovation efforts and pilot emerging technologies

Required Skills & Education



Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field 0-2 years of experience in product management or a related field (e.g., UX, business analysis, marketing, software development) Excellent communicator, including written, verbal, and presentation skills Highly inquisitive with strong collaboration and influencing skills Fundamental conceptual and analytical thinking skills; process and detail oriented Competency in Jira, Confluence, digital collaboration tools and Microsoft applications Solid project management and organizational experience/skills

Preferred Experience



Academic or project-based experience may substitute for formal work experience, including: + Leading or contributing to product-oriented projects, thesis work, or innovation challenges
+ Participation in hackathons, startup incubators, or student-led initiatives involving product development or user research
+ Relevant coursework in product management, UX design, business strategy, or data analytics with hands-on assignments
+ Internships, freelance, or volunteer work that involved solving user problems, building solutions, or collaborating across teams
Understanding and application of Product Management strategy and methodologies to improve user and customer outcomes Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and working in an Agile software development environment Experience in collaborating with and gathering feedback from a range of audiences--including customers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams Interest in AI, automation, or emerging technologies as tools for product innovation

This role is hybrid. The expectation is for the employee to come into the London, ON office at least four times a year for two days each visit.
