In addition, allowances and provisions for employees working in isolated locations apply.The Associate Producer assigned to radio current affairs will primarily perform editorial assignments related to the gathering, writing and presentation of program material for all of our media platforms and especially for radio programming. You will participate in the production, direction and/or post-production of a program and/or program segment. You should be comfortable with the demands and needs of radio, video, on-line news and social media. Applicants need to be proficient at managing multiple assignments and covering breaking news situations. You should be comfortable chasing and developing enterprise journalism and original research. You should be able to generate story ideas independently. Guidance and direction are regularly available from one or more producers, but there is latitude for initiative and judgment. You work well in a team environment.In this role, you will ensure that all CBC journalistic standards are met and that our stories are fair, balanced, accurate, thoughtful, immediate and resonate with the communities we serve. Youre innovative and will champion new story treatments. Youre not afraid to take creative risks, and you inspire others to do the same.Local news and community storytelling is more important than ever.
