Global Merchandise Associate Planner

About this team

As a member of the product team, Global Planning team is responsible for ensuring financial success of the company. They work closely with Merchants to understand new product trends and regional/climate selling, size trends, and logistics. The team monitors the business on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, understanding changes in trend and reacting to the business to maximize sales and mitigate risk. The priority is to understand and protect the guest experience, followed by delivering profitable sales growth (comp and GM$s).

A day in the life:

• Reporting to Global Planning Manager, this position is managing category sales, markdowns, gross margin, planned purchases, turn and open to buy management
• Manage initial allocation and replenishment out of the Distribution Center, pre-allocations and other potential receipt methods in conjunction with the strategy
• Responsible for creation and maintenance of key financial reporting tools, along with ad-hoc analysis to drive business results.
• Develop report templates and data analysis tools to support business analytics. Drive weekly reporting and data validation within SLA. Ensure data integrity of all financial information including identification of variances.
• Create and manage sales and inventory projections for key in-stock items

Qualifications:

• Four year college degree or equivalent required
• 2-3 years proven experience with data analysis
• Previous experience with merchandise and planning systems.
• Expert knowledge of Excel is required.
