is a collaborative and detail-oriented role responsible for coordinating and delivering professional learning and family engagement initiatives that advance STEM equity.The Educator stream includes professional development workshops, classroom co-facilitation, and curriculum-aligned resources that help teachers apply equity-informed and inquiry-based STEM practices. The Caregiver stream includes workshops, Family events, and STEM-at-Home Kits that build families' confidence in supporting youth STEM learning.Reporting to the

, the Associate Manager oversees planning and delivery across both streams, supervises a small team, manages logistics, and maintains strong relationships with schools and partners. This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring high-quality, consistent experiences that align with organizational priorities and funder outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Delivery
Coordinate and deliver high-quality professional development workshops, classroom co-facilitation sessions, and educator learning events aligned with the Ontario Science & Technology curriculum (2022 revision) and de-streamed science courses.
Oversee caregiver engagement programming, including family events, workshops, and STEM-at-Home kits, to strengthen families' confidence supporting STEM learning.
Ensure both educator and caregiver programming reflect culturally responsive, inquiry-based, and equity-informed practices.
Manage day-to-day logistics, scheduling, participant communication, and resource distribution.
Team Support & Supervision
Supervise and coach specialists, coordinators, and facilitators supporting educator and caregiver programs.
Coordinate workflow, delegate tasks, and ensure timely delivery of milestones across projects.
Support staff development through ongoing feedback and professional learning opportunities.
Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
Maintain relationships with school boards, educators, and community partners to support workshop delivery and school collaboration.
Support preparation of funder reports by maintaining accurate data, tracking outcomes, and ensuring timely submission of required information.
Represent VOS at education events and community forums to build visibility and partnership opportunities.
Data, Evaluation & Reporting
Collect and analyze educator and caregiver feedback to measure impact and inform improvements.
Track key performance indicators (educator confidence, student impact, family confidence in STEM).
Support grant reporting and knowledge-sharing with internal and external stakeholders.
Budget & Operations
Manage project budgets and track expenses.
Ensure cost-effective delivery of workshops, events, and resources.
Support procurement and inventory management for educator and caregiver kits.

What We're Looking For
Education & TrainingPost-secondary education in education, STEM, adult learning, or community engagement, or equivalent experience.
Ongoing commitment to professional development.
Required Experience & Expertise3-5 years of experience in education, professional development, or community program coordination.
Experience facilitating educator training and family learning programs in diverse settings.
Knowledge of Ontario's education system, curriculum policy, and equity frameworks.
Experience managing projects or supervising small teams considered an asset.
Key Competencies & SkillsProgram Design & Facilitation - Ability to plan and deliver engaging, equity-informed learning experiences for educators and caregivers.
People Leadership - Emerging leader with skills in delegation, coaching, and team accountability.
Relationship Building - Skilled in developing collaborative partnerships with schools and community stakeholders.
Data & Reporting - Comfort with tracking program metrics and producing impact summaries.
Equity & Inclusion - Deep commitment to equity in STEM education and culturally responsive practice.
Digital Fluency - Proficient with Google Workspace and project management tools (e.g., Asana, CRM systems).
PreferredExperience in STEM education or curriculum-aligned program delivery.
Familiarity with adult learning theory and professional development for teachers.
Experience designing or evaluating family learning resources or community programs.
Experience working in or with underserved communities.
