Our client is a fast-growing multi-practicing private practice law firm that is down-to-earth and encourages work-life balance. The firm is about 20 lawyers big with a W&E team of 2.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Be mentored directly by a partner who is looking at succession planning and wants to find someone to inherit their practice.

ABOUT THE POSITION

• Mostly an Estate Planning role, with little to no litigation
• Files include: Wills, Powers of Attorney, Succession and Tax Planning, Family Trusts, Estate Administration, Corporate Reorganizations
• Must have experience with complicated files
• 1500 soft billable target
• Hybrid opportunity after a 6-month probation and training period
• Have the support of 2 clerks

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Called to the Ontario Bar
• 2+ years of W&E experience (solicitors)
• Able to come into the office every day for first 6 months
• Able to carry a file independently
• BONUS: experience with corporate and real estate transactions
• BONUS: experience with US and cross border tax
• BONUS: come with a partial book or BD experience

COMPENSATION

Salary grid based on YOC. Please reach out for the full list. As an example, a 2018 YOC is at $180k base salary with a discretionary bonus.
