The Opportunity

We are seeking a Litigation Lawyer with 2-3 years of civil litigation experience to join our practice.

This role is well suited to a dedicated and detail-oriented Lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent research abilities, and a thorough understanding of legal procedures. This role involves managing active litigation files, advising clients, and representing their interests in court and related proceedings. Candidates should be committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in all aspects of their work.

Areas of Practice

The practice will primarily involve civil and litigation matters, including:

Civil litigation Small Claims Court matters Immigration litigation (judicial reviews, appeals, and related proceedings) Contract disputes Real estate disputes Debt recovery and related matters

Responsibilities

Manage litigation files from initial stages through resolution Draft pleadings, affidavits, applications, and other court materials Conduct legal research and provide practical legal advice Attend court appearances, mediations, and hearings Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel Meet deadlines and maintain professional and ethical standards

Qualifications

2-3 years of civil litigation experience Experience with BC Supreme Court and provincial court is an asset Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia Strong drafting, research, and advocacy skills Ability to manage files independently with appropriate supervision Organized, professional, and client-focused Comfortable working in a small firm environment

Compensation & Structure

Compensation structure will be determined based on experience and fit May include: Salary with performance-based incentives; or Fee-split or revenue-sharing arrangement
