We are looking for an associate lawyer (LL.B. or J.D.) to join us in serving an established client base in and around Owen Sound, Ontario. The successful candidate will develop a

municipal law

and

civil litigation

practice, working alongside and under the mentorship of

Erroll Treslan

, senior partner. 3-5 years' experience is preferred, but any applicants qualified to practice law in Ontario are invited to apply.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who wishes to practice in a small southwestern Ontario city with a professional staff and collegial bar. Owen Sound is situated on the shores of Georgian Bay, offering an excellent four-season recreational lifestyle. Living outside the Greater Toronto Area offers affordable urban or rural accommodation, with the convenience of only a 2-hour drive to Pearson International Airport.

We serve individuals, corporations, and municipalities, primarily in Grey, Bruce and Simcoe Counties. As a full-service law firm, we carry on practice in civil/family litigation, real estate, wills/estates, municipal law, labour/employment, and business law.

The successful candidate would have the opportunity to develop a practice in municipal law and civil litigation.

This is a partner-track position. The ideal candidate is

ambitious

and does not shy away from a challenge. Attention to detail and razor-sharp written communication skills are a must.
