Job Description


Reporting to the Manager, Job Evaluation, the Associate, Job Evaluation & Workforce Planning is responsible for assessing jobs across OMERS and Oxford and supporting Workforce Planning initiatives while working in partnership with the Managers Workforce Planning, HR Business Partners and business leaders. This position will primarily work on job evaluations, but also support and be involved with strategic workforce planning initiatives. In this position you will work with a broad range of global business teams in a dynamic environment. You are someone with knowledge and solid experience evaluating jobs in complex organizations and you also have an interest in job architecture, organizational design and strategic workforce planning.

This role is ideal for someone with prior direct experience conducting formal job evaluations who also has an interest in getting exposure and experience working on strategic workforce planning matters.

Accountabilities

  • Conduct job evaluations using the Hay Korn Ferry methodology, Korn Ferry Architect and Korn Ferry Success Profiles
  • Complete job evaluations with a sense of accuracy and urgency
  • Identify and clarify relationships to benchmark jobs across the organization to ensure effective job evaluation
  • Provide support and advice to HR Business Partners and business leaders on the job evaluation process and requirements
  • Become knowledgeable about OMERS job architecture and assist with job architecture related initiatives and advice
  • Assist Workforce Planning team members with workforce planning initiatives including organizational design, org charts, career mapping, capacity planning, and associated slideware
  • Maintain thorough record keeping and consistent job documentation in OMERS systems and platforms including Workday and Korn Ferry
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and address business issues
  • Compiling and analyzing labour market data and employee metrics from Workday and ancillary systems as required to build and deliver reports
  • Leverage Korn Ferry Profile Manager to source information as part of workforce planning research
  • Research external trends and industry benchmarks and share with program owners
  • Contributing to presentations for various business stakeholders, including senior leaders
  • Participating in other projects and initiatives as required
To succeed in this role, you have:
  • A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with at least 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience within Human Resources
  • Experience using the Hay Korn Ferry job evaluation methodology considered an asset
  • Experience using Korn Ferry Architect and Korn Ferry Success Profiles is considered an asset
  • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
  • Workday HCM functional experience is an asset
  • Ability to create business presentations in PowerPoint
  • A strong interest in organizational design and strategic workforce planning
  • Extremely detail-oriented, organized, analytical, reliable, pro-active, and resourceful
  • Strong ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders
