As an Associate IT Specialist, you will provide communication, coordination, analysis, reporting and client interactions related to departmental activities and initiatives. You will work independently and have sufficient knowledge of the department's business area to support department leaders in ensuring that all accounts are properly paid, and that all Technology invoices are posted. You will effectively and independently respond to routine client inquiries and concerns in a variety of areas within the department's operation. You will also conduct other analysis, streamline department processes, and provides accurate expense management information as requested.

How you will create impact:




Set up, update, and maintain EFT Banking Information for Staff and Suppliers Process invoice payments for the Technology group, including self-assessing GST, PST and HST and processing US and foreign funds. Verify signing authorization for expenses and invoices and set up new suppliers for the Technology group Prepare and maintain department material, including reporting and training which effectively communicate the department's purpose and governance, accountabilities and initiatives to governance teams, planning partners and others across the organization, and houses team's documents, and processes. Manage and provide ongoing development of the department SharePoint site. Compose accurate reports for various initiatives to be shared inside and outside the IT Enterprise. Publish and review the procedures required to support departmental processes. Monitor the execution and effectiveness of processes; identify obstacles or deficiencies and propose corrective actions. Prepare and maintain training and support related materials to department. Processes, procedures, templates, schedules and software / technology tools utilized by all areas interacting with department. Coordinate plans and impacts for area of responsibility to manage priorities during key planning periods. Act as liaison across the organization regarding department communications and process management. Manage relationships with program offices across the organization; understand where functions intersect and the challenges this creates. Act upon opportunities to add value through information-sharing and cross- communication. Administer department specific programs and/or technology, responding to inquiries and providing guidance and assistance when required.

University degree or related experience coordinating a corporate planning area in the insurance industry Advanced knowledge of Outlook, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Visio) applications. You have strong numeric skills and reasoning abilities Skilled in technology and software relating to communication, presentation, web- based products, audiovisual and virtual meetings Knowledge of organizational structure and awareness of the organizations' programs (HR employment programs, educational, recognition) and budget processes
You have expertise to develop and facilitate training
