The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated
Associate, Investment Banking
to join our Toronto office. Reporting to the Managing Director, Investment Banking, this role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact transactions across multiple sectors. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a client-focused mindset, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key
Responsibilities
Partner with senior bankers to prepare analyses, pitch materials, and client presentations
Play a central role in the execution of client transactions, acting as a key point of contact for deal teams and clients
Lead financial modeling, valuation, and other quantitative analyses
Plan and execute deal-related due diligence, presenting findings to internal teams
Assist in the development of investor presentations and roadshow materials
Coordinate with external advisors (legal, accounting, auditing, etc.) to ensure seamless transaction execution
Manage information flow and communications across deal teams
Mentor and oversee junior analysts, providing regular feedback and guidance
Lead preparation of transaction documents including prospectuses, offering memoranda, term sheets, engagement letters, and proposals
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
3+ years' experience in investment banking or a related corporate finance field (private equity, venture capital, mezzanine finance)
MBA, CPA, or CFA designation preferred
Proficiency in MS Office and financial databases such as Capital IQ or FactSet
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on value drivers
Familiarity with securities laws and regulatory requirements
Highly motivated, organized, and able to thrive in a demanding, deadline-driven environment
