Do you want to join a young and dynamic asset management firm? Sun Life Global Investments (SLGI) is one of Canada's fastest growing institutional asset managers for Defined Contribution pension plans, helping Canadians close the retirement gap. Through external intermediaries including investment consultants and group advisors, SLGI markets its investment products primarily to plan sponsor clients of Sun Life's Group Retirement Services (GRS) defined contribution (DC) business, and to plan members of Sun Life's Client Solutions.

The Associate, Institutional Sales and Client Support will work closely with members of SLGI's Institutional Business Development (BD) and Client Relationship (CR) team, and with its internal partners, including Product, Marketing, Compliance, ...etc., contributing exceptional support to the overall client acquisition and servicing efforts, as well as growth of the business.

The incumbent will manage regular day-to-day sales and client support responsibilities and deliver ad-hoc requests related to monthly and quarterly reporting, custom data/reports, meeting presentations, communications, requests for proposal/information, event management and maintenance of CRM (Salesforce) information. The individual will also be working in tight collaboration with the Marketing team on the creation of persuasive sales support tools and marketing collaterals.

What will you do?

Sales & Client Support and Communications

Update quarterly Client reports (presentation templates, performance reports, org charts, bios etc.) and pitchbooks in collaboration with subject matter experts as well as marketing, product and compliance teams

Co-ordinate the completion of RFP/RFI requests, maintain and administer RFP database, update new responses and recommend enhancements to the existing ones

Maintain the quarterly request log and visual board to ensure excellence in servicing

Manage content residing in SLGI SharePoint (intranet) and Seismic (content management system).

Help identify and implement new approaches to streamline processes to enhance client engagement and experience

Event Management and Project Coordination

Manage roadshows on the national level and speaking opportunities at industry conferences

Lead coordination of Institutional email campaigns (quarterly updates, roadshow invitation, newsletters, etc.) and related workflow activities such as: content development, review and approval, campaign lists management; key metrics monitoring and reporting

Support the Institutional BD and CR team in event hosting and logistics, including internal and external training sessions

Coordinate ad-hoc and special projects as required

Investment Information and Analytical Support

Develop an understanding of SLGI Institutional capabilities and investment solutions

Provide analytical support to BD and CR team for ad-hoc requests through the use of external data bases (MercerInsight, eVestment) and visual analytics platform (Tableau)

Maintain and enhance the CRM database (Salesforce), and generate reports as required

Undergraduate Business or equivalent university degree required

Minimum 3 years of work experience in the financial services industry, preferably in Institutional sales & client service disciplines

Knowledge of the pension/institutional investment management business & investment products

Experience in event management (in-person/virtual) including planning, coordination, and execution

Experience with RFP/RFI processes and response databases is an asset

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Seismic, and other front/mid-office software applications is an asset

Advanced level of English and French required for Quebec applicants - interactions with English-speaking customers or partners

Completion / pursuant of Canadian Securities Course (CSC), project management and/or relevant professional designation is an asset

Some travel may be required

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
