Associate HR Business Partner

The Associate HR Business Partner provides professional and efficient HR support to the Sr. HRBP and the business units. They also ensure the implementation and application of agreed upon standard HR policies and execution of HR practices and guidance that represents the needs of the local legal entity or specific site at the country/country group level. This job supports the relevant local management in the resolution of individual local HR issues, problem solves, interacts with employees as well as line managers and links the local operations to HR Services as appropriate and necessary to assure a sound local HR service delivery and handling of employee issues.

The Associate HR Business Partner reports directly to the Sr HRBP for the country/country group, processing workflows, and maintaining critical HR and talent data, interfacing and problem solving with a number of other business partners including Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Finance, Benefits, Payroll, and HR Operations.

What you will do:

  • Provides support for all Human Resource partnering activities of the relevant legal entity or specific site
  • Ensures the implementation and application of agreed upon Bayer HR directives, policies, processes, systems and programs throughout the local legal entity or at the specific site organization and strives for best practices in the standardization, harmonization and alignment of local HR activities, but always with the business requirements in mind
  • Provides support and guidance to the relevant Sr. HRBP and or local management in assigned internal group, as applicable, thus enabling them to contribute to the talent management agenda, including participation in the talent review process. Helps the line management to develop employees\' capabilities to the mid to long-term business needs
  • Helping to support labour law/litigation in close collaboration with the Head of HR and/or Sr HRBP for the country/country group and Law and Patents ensuring adherence to applicable laws and Bayer rules
  • Supports organizational changes (restructuring, mergers, acquisitions and divestments) and providing support to the SR HRBP and/or business manager on overseeing employee change requests
  • Participates in ad-hoc HR projects
  • Contributes to HR marketing/employer branding thus ensuring that Bayer will be an employer of choice in the country/country group.
  • Provides HR perspectives on their relevant business operations and consult and advise local management on HR implications on the strategies
  • Support local management in communicating HR issues properly to employees
  • Counsels and supports business managers in the resolution of specific individual local HR issues; e.g. disciplinary actions incl. face-to-face meetings with managers/employee/ incl. negotiation of severance payments
  • Through an understanding of the business and engagement with the business leaders, co-ordinates the business requirements and challenges and HR data into relevant HR actions and initiatives
Who you are:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree, preferably in Human Resources
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Human Resources, preferably in a Generalist or Business Partner capacity
  • Certified HR Professional (CHRP) designation is an asset
  • Demonstrated success with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and conflict resolution skills
  • Independent thinker with strong conceptual and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and creativity, and the ability to work independently
