We are currently seeking a

full-time, permanent

Associate General Counsel

to join our team at our

Head Office in Saskatoon.

Reporting to the VP, Legal Services and General Counsel, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute at the organizational level by providing legal advice - particularly in labour relations and employment law, supporting governance and compliance, and assisting in managing legal risk, including litigation and claims.

Primary Responsibilities



Support the VP, Legal Services and General Counsel in legal and policy matters, including ethics, compliance, and litigation. Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of LAS policies, legislation, and risk management strategies. Assist with internal investigations, employment matters, and FOIP requests. Conduct legal research, monitor legislative changes, and advise on labour relations and employment law. Collaborate with stakeholders including People & Culture, Legal Directors, and external counsel on various legal issues. Prepare materials for Commission meetings and support complaint resolution processes. Lead or support special projects and other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements





LL.B or JD Law Degree from a recognized university and a member in good standing of the Saskatchewan Bar. Minimum of five years of experience in the legal field, preferably in labour relations and employment law, with some in-house legal counsel experience. Expertise in conflict resolution and mediation. Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels. Demonstrated initiative and confidence. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
