Road Assist Associate Fleet Technician (Level 1 - Level 4)
Summary:
Reporting to the Fleet Manager Member Experience, the role is to provide friendly professional roadside assistance to members of BCAA and affiliated clubs.
The Team Member is one of approximately 130 Road Assist Fleet Team Members working a variety of 24/7 shifts. The Team Member provides roadside assistance or towing service to BCAA members and affiliated Clubs. The Team Member has the authority to follow approved procedures, and to report any problems and the actions taken to resolve them.
Key Responsibilities

  • Responding to Member’s request for service delivering exceptional service

  • Year 1 - Provides assistance such as battery boost, tire change, lockout service, buffer truck support supplying fuel if necessary

  • Year 2 – Efficient minor mechanical assistance such as battery replacement and no starts, battery boost, tire change, lockout service, tow and recovery, supplying fuel if necessary

  • Year 3 - Provides assistance such as battery service replacement, wheel lift tow & recovery, tire change, lockout service, buffer truck, fuel delivery

  • Year 4 - Advanced efficient minor mechanical assistance, batteries replacement, Flat Deck tow and recovery

  • Maintains BCAA’s high standard of service and image, focusing on friendly, courteous service at all times

  • Promotes BCAA and affiliate products and services

  • Maintains the care and control of BCAA equipment & documentation

  • Adheres to all BCAA corporate standards

Qualifications:
Education

  • Grade 12 or equivalent

Experience

  • 1-2 years of mechanical experience, preferably within automotive

  • Proven public relation experience

  • Demonstrated Initiative

  • Valid B.C. driver license

  • Clean driver record

Other Skills:

  • Good English communication skills

  • Service Excellence

  • Judgment, Planning and Decision Making

  • Ability to obtain Surrey chauffeurs license

  • Physically able to lift a minimum of 70lbs

  • Basic computer skills
