Your opportunity:

Reporting to the Assistant Dean & Registrar, the Associate Director of Recruitment and Admissions is responsible for strategy and implementation of the recruitment and admissions processes and developmentof marketing and communications materials for all undergraduate (BScN) and graduate (MN, PMNP, PhD and DN) programs at the Lawrence S Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing.

In consultation with faculty committees, the incumbent will assume a leadership role in setting a vision at the Faculty, including: (1) ensuring the effective implementation of strategies and initiatives to recruit and admit well-qualified students to the Faculty of Nursing, with an emphasis on applicants from under-represented groups; and (2) overseeing the review of admissions applications by the Admissions & Programs Assistant to ensure the process is performed with consistency as well as with equity, diversity, inclusion, and access principles in mind.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
  • Planning and developing an integrated multi-channel communications strategy independently
  • Conducting detailed data analysis to inform recruitment strategies and plans
  • Preparing complex statistical information for inclusion in recruitment plans
  • Planning and implementing the evaluations of recruitment programs to support strategic planning activities
  • Determining which applications to refer to committee for selection
  • Advising potential applicants on admissions criteria and processes by probing and providing a range of options and possible consequences
  • Coordinating admission processes with departmental/divisional contacts
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Six to seven years directly related, progressive experience in recruitment and admissions including outreach work with under-represented groups.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering recruitment presentations to large and diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to supervise staff.
  • Experience creating and implementing recruitment strategies.
  • Exceptional computer skills including demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Access and working knowledge of Keynote, Prezi, HTML and content management systems/strategic enrolment systems.
  • Strong ability to multitask and manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically
