Your natural flair for providing advice and resolving intricate business challenges is what sets you apart from the rest. This role is all about professional relationship management focusing on commercial real estate finance, delivering top-tier financial & industry specialized knowledge and aligning sales, products, risk policy, and market strategies to deliver suitable financing solutions for commercial real estate owners and investors. This is a senior role in which your highly-developed experience with financial analysis, credit, and client acquisition relationship takes centre stage. Your finely honed solution-development skills, combined with your innate business acumen, portfolio management expertise, and knack for client service, sets the stage for success.

What will you do?

  • Apply your past business development experience for prospecting and lead generation to new and existing clients.
  • Demonstrate portfolio management and risk mitigation through the review and analysis of financial statements identifying trends, monitoring risks, and assessing for credit restructuring.
  • Provide an exceptional client experience by delivering superior business and financial advice.
  • Leverage the expertise of RBC by identifying referral opportunities, making introductions together with appropriate referrals to RBC partners.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with various teams to develop and execute a client contact strategy.
  • Champion digital enablement by becoming an advocate of the RBC mobile applications, promoting regular usage through educating and guiding clients on how to use it.
What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate (Income Producing Properties) lending preferred, as well as previous general banking experience in a relationship management role.
  • Demonstrated success in a business development role, especially with respect to the acquisition of new clients, prospecting, networking, etc.
  • Financial statement review, computer modeling and analysis experience.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and self-motivation to achieve superior results.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with a passion for providing quality advice and fulfilling client needs.
  • Continuous learner with a deep curiosity for understanding diverse customers and is up-to-date with changes in client needs, procedures, and relevant products.
  • University degree, ideally in commerce or business administration.
Nice-to-have:
  • Experience with emerging communications and technology (i.e., web based meetings, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications.
