This includes the recruitment, admissions, program operations, and student services for nine programs, currently encompassing 750+ students (MBA GDBA, MSc Finance). As a collaborative and supportive team, we work hard in an exciting and fast-changing industry, with a common passion for supporting the learning journey for students and creating the best experience possible to support their education.About the RoleThis position is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing holistic programs and initiatives to engage, develop, recruit, and retain graduate students in the Beedie School of Business. This position leads the Graduate Student Engagement Office (SEO), providing co-curricular opportunities that compliment graduate business curriculum and support grad student personal and professional development. What happens outside of the classroom is an integral part of the Beedie experience; students are encouraged to get involved with opportunities that meet their interests and goals, ranging from leadership through clubs and committees, team building through MBA Games and cross-program simulations, consulting practice through case competitions, upskilling through workshops, and networking through events and socials. By creating memorable opportunities that students utilize beyond graduation, the SEO builds connections student-to-student, student-to-school, and student-to-networks, which in turn is reflected in brand loyalty, recruitment efforts, alumni engagement, and giving back to the community.The ideal candidate will be a hard-working and resourceful team member who can build relationships internally and externally to move the Student Engagement Office (SEO) portfolio forward successfully. They will be responsive, organized, and committed to supporting students. They will foster a collaborative environment in order to engage and motivate students, and enhance the student experience across graduate business programs. They will be willing to do a large variety of work and be a positive and supportive member of the Program Delivery team and beyond. They will be an excellent communicator, and consistently represent SEO internally and externally.QualificationsMaster\'s degree in Business Administration and two years related experience including experience in program/project management, financial administration, staff supervision, event planning, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) including presentation skills.
  • Brings a mentorship or coaching approach to their work.
  • A combination of strategic planning and operational implementation skills.
  • Event planning and execution experience is an asset.
