Position Overview

We are seeking an individual to join our team in the Calgary office. As an Associate the incumbent will contribute to growing the business by supporting to the Investment Advisor(s), ensuring high-level client service, and providing dedicated specialized administrative support on diverse assignments.



Duties and Responsibilities



Investment Advisor Support:



Prepare, analyze, and present reports and recommendations for clients including investment policy statements, portfolio evaluations, financial plans, retirement projections, client commentaries/reviews and investment proposals Manage the execution of transactions on behalf of the Advisor Analyze industry and company data, macro data, develop and maintain financial models Assist in annual business planning, execution, and progress tracking. Help create and adjust investment portfolios to meet market demands. Prepare financial plans for common goals like retirement. Monitor performance against plans to identify gaps and best practices.

Client Service:



Partner with lead advisors to build relationships with COIs and business partners; collaborate internally to identify growth opportunities. Deliver exceptional client service through portfolio reviews, trade execution, and needs assessment. Respond promptly to client inquiries, resolve issues, and process transactions accurately. Prepare portfolio reviews, reports, and proposals; assist with meeting preparation and investment research. Escalate complex issues for swift resolution and ensure thorough follow-up on all transactions. Maintain compliant client records and documentation per regulatory standards. Support advisors by scheduling appointments and managing client records. Build strong relationships with corporate partners and COIs. Maintain high levels of client engagement.

Strategic Marketing & Brand Development:



Coordinate marketing materials, events, webinars, and social media campaigns to drive growth. Research industry trends, products, and regulations to support advisor decisions and strengthen market positioning. Develop creative solutions to enhance marketing and business development. Create compelling content aligned with team values, goals, and target audience. Manage and enhance the team's brand presence across platforms.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' experience in the financial services industry Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Strong organizational skills Ability to take initiative and work independently Understanding of industry compliance regulations High accountability, adaptability, and innovation. Commitment to ethical conduct and integrity Strong interpersonal and influencing skills across multiple communication mediums.

Education

An undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in Business/Economics or related field but not mandatory Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook required Must be licensed with Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) as an Investment Representative (IR)
