Associate Asset Manager

Job Description

Scope of Position

The Associate Asset Manager will work closely with Generation management and various asset managers to identify opportunities for operational and financial improvements and assist with the development of short and long terms solutions to issues that arise. Has responsibility for assisting in the process of managing company and / or owner's interest in one or more wind or solar energy projects within the US.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Asset Managers with compliance with all project contractual documents and deliverables governed by the following:
  • Power Purchase Agreements
  • Power Price Hedge Agreements
  • Interconnection Agreements
  • Operating Agreements
  • Credit Agreements
  • Operations and Maintenance Agreements
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly operating reports and annual budgets for company owned and third party assets, consolidation of Senior Management reports as needed, or other reports as needed by either Asset Managers or Generation management
  • With an oversight of Generation management, Associate Asset Manager maybe assigned a responsibility to perform some asset management functions on one company owned asset
  • Interface with Performance and Reliability Group regarding performance of assets
  • Provide other company personnel with related information required by them to carry out their assigned responsibilities. Cross-functional coordination activities throughout the organization as conditions necessitate
  • Assist with managing project cash flow to meet the requirements of the operating budget and review financial statements and DSCR and RSCR calculations
  • Identify areas of opportunity within Generation group and assist in developing process improvements
  • Perform ad hoc research as directed by Asset Managers or Generation Management

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of one year experience in a similar role is a plus
  • Experience in the energy industry is a plus
  • Excellent understanding of the budgeting process
  • Exceptional analytical skills (financial modeling experience is a plus)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Familiarity with enterprise data management tools (SAP) is a plus
  • Some travel required
Working Conditions:
90% of the time is spent in the office, at one of our locations, a candidate's home office or hybrid and environment utilizing computers (frequent use of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project), phones and general office equipment.

10% of the time is spent in the field traveling to project sites and vendor facilities within the United States and overseas, analyzing training programs and/or providing training
