About the roleAssociate and External Engagement Lead

  • About the role:
We are looking for innovative, experienced and passionate communicators who want to have an impact and make a difference joining us to reimagining medicine. As Associate and External Engagement Lead you will be responsible for creating and driving corporate integrated projects, internally and externally, collaborating in a dynamic environment.The role reports directly into the Novartis Canada Country Head of Communication and Engagement and will work closely with local executives.Permant position
  • Key Responsibilities:
o Act as a strategic partner with internal stakeholders, create and support implementation of communications and engagement strategies, with an ecosystem mindset (end-to-end, from associate engagement to external engagement).
o Ensure executional excellence and focus on data driven projects and insights generation that can be as predictive of trends as possible, so that the corporate positioning can truly resonate for external and internal audiences.
o Be responsible for leading issue management.
o Build appropriate program engagement strategy, ensuring cross-functional alignment, including where relevant budget and resource allocation management.
o Manage PR agencies and other external vendors to secure maximum return on investment, operational excellence and business impact.
o Counsel and provide Executives with strategic communications recommendations. Develop messaging for Country Leadership for various internal and external channels.
o Design and execute key internal and external events.
o Select and train internal spokespeople, anticipating and identifying communication opportunities and issues.Role Requirements
  • Essential Requirements:
o Master\'s degree / University Diploma or equivalent; 10+ years of experience in Communications.
o Strategic thinking and solid operations management and execution
o Strong collaborative attitude and ability to manage complex projects in cross functional teams.
o Resilience and agility with strong leadership, collaboration, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
o Initiative, self-motivation and superior organizational and time management skills
o Bilingual: English and French
