The Physics & Computer Science Department at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for a tenure-track professional teaching position in computer science at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. The position will begin July 1, 2024 and is subject to budgetary approval.

The Department of Physics and Computer Science is introducing undergraduate Computer Science programs at the new Laurier Milton campus. The ideal candidate for this position will be an individual with a passion for teaching computer science to undergraduates. The primary expectations of applicants will be demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and educational innovation. The Candidate in this position is also expected to have a commitment to service to the University and the academic community, and to scholarly and/or professional activity.

The candidate will also play a lead role in program planning, administration, and curriculum development at the Milton campus, and teaching responsibilities may be multicampus with course delivery at Waterloo, Brantford, and Milton campuses. Applicants are expected to have a PhD in Computer Science and the ability to teach a wide range of computer science courses. Responsibilities will include teaching up to six one-term courses in Computer Science. Course load may be reduced in recognition of leadership and administrative activity.
