We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic

Assistant Supervisor

to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will support the Centre Supervisor in ensuring the delivery of high-quality early learning and care in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment. This role involves assisting with program planning, overseeing staff and daily operations, and maintaining compliance with all licensing and health regulations. Key Responsibilities

Support the Supervisor in daily childcare centre operations Assist in developing and implementing age-appropriate programs Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to educators and support staff Ensure all health, safety, and licensing standards are upheld Maintain documentation, reports, and communication with families Help create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment Step into the Supervisor role when needed Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues

Strong leadership and communication abilities Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team Knowledge of child development and early learning best practices Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills Warm, patient, and compassionate approach with children and families

Qualifications

ECE Diploma or Certificate

(must be registered and in good standing, if applicable)

Current CPR & First Aid Certification

Food Handler's Certification

(valid and up-to-date)

Up-to-date Immunizations

as required by local regulations Experience working in a childcare or early learning setting Familiarity with childcare licensing standards and regulatory requirements Supervisory or leadership experience (an asset)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 - 40 per week
