About the Opportunity

We are currently looking for a full-time

Assistant Site Superintendent

to join our team in Spruce Grove and Parkland County.

What will you do in this role?

As an assistant to the site manager, you will be tasked with ensuring quality control of buildings under construction. Follow building code and corporate safety requirements on all sites. No team member's role is too big to help in every area. In this role you will be asked to maintain and assist with construction sites cleanliness and safety from garbage and debris, snow removal, sweeping, pressure washing, and ensuring that access into and out of home sites are safe and clean (includes stairs, ramps, guardrails, sidewalks, and driveways). Basic tools are required to perform deficiency repairs such as framing repairs, minor taping, paint repairs, install locks and miscellaneous hardware (ex: signage on houses), cabinet and flooring touch ups, window install (includes basement), door adjustment, stairs and handrail installation, flooring repairs. Safety is important and you will need to complete hazard assessments and report any safety issues immediately to the Site Management. Quality is of utmost importance to our organization so you will assist Site Management with quality controls checks on framing, insulation, foundation, and pre-occupancy per company's standard. You will work with the Site Manager to communicate with trades, suppliers, and clients by phone, email, or in person as instructed. Upload photos and input information with regards to schedules and work tasks assigned into our online software. This job evolves with your talents, so as your experience grows so can the job. There may be other responsibilities and related duties as required.

What requirements could help you get on our team?

Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential construction. Some basic or intermediate carpentry is preferred. Knowledge of building codes and safety codes would be an asset. Basic First Aid and CSTS training is required but can be attained after hire. Strong attention to detail and organization skills is a must. Having a proven organizational system, setting goals, and being driven to achieve these goals is important. Willingness to learn and take initiative. Strong verbal communication skills. Computer skills (emails, MS Office, and other project management software). Builder Trend experience would be an asset. Clean driver's abstract.
