Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated
Assistant Site Superintendent
to join our construction management team. The successful candidate will support the Site Superintendent in overseeing daily site operations, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards that align with VanDel's reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in supervising and coordinating site activities, including subcontractors, trades, and suppliers.
Monitor progress against project schedules and ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Support site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment, and workforce coordination.
Enforce company health, safety, and environmental policies through regular inspections.
Maintain accurate project documentation, daily reports, and quality control records.
Communicate effectively with project managers, consultants, and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 2 years of site coordination or supervisory experience in construction (residential, commercial, or industrial).
Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, codes, and safety standards.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
