Job Description

:

The Company would like to fill six (6) new temporary assignment positions as Assistant Security Checkpoint Trainer Representative (A/SCTR), in accordance with the following conditions. The candidate must be successful by completing and passing the CATSA ASCTR Qualification Program.

Hourly Rate: In accordance with the SCTR wage rate as per collective agreement
Duration: 90 days with the possibility to extend
Schedule: Must be available for all shifts (AM/PM), every day of the week, including weekends

A/SCTRs can perform:

• Deliver PBS RLP in-service exercises
• Deliver pre-service training
• Deliver screening contractor-developed training
• Complete observations on WTMD/HHMD, PSOP, Special Screening Situations and FBS for newly certified Screening Officers to support the completion of their SOF post-certification OJT
• Proctor exams (except the PBS RLP XRT Image Exam)

Note: A/SCTRs are not permitted to proctor the PBS RLP XRT Image Exam or perform OJT oversight on or conduct training on:

• X-ray
• PSOB
• ETD/LED Alarm resolution
• CATSA Plus RSR/SWS
• PSOP of Sensitive Areas
• SC Reviews
• Coaching Plans
• Return-to-work activities

A/SCTR Program Pre-requisites:

• Minimum 12 months of cumulative experience as a Screening Officer
• Valid Transportation Security Clearance
• Can not have failed a previous attempt at the A/SCTR Qualification Program
• Within the past year, no performance events requiring a coaching plan that is associated with the area they could be teaching
• Must complete the A/SCTR Qualification Program

Qualifications & Experience:

• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent Knowledge of RLP (XRT & LMS)
• Excellent knowledge of SOP
• Bilingual (French/English)
• Available to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Able to work independently and as a part of a team
