Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Sales Manager to join our dynamic team at Islington Nurseries at our Stone Yard located in Etobicoke. This role is essential in supporting our sales operations and ensuring exceptional service.

Responsibilities

Support the Sales Manager Assist with coaching and training of new hires Able to direct staff as needed, process merchandise and track inventory Provide timely feedback to associates Participate in management meetings Ability to drive sales and assist in developing action plans to increase sales Able to communicate professionally and courteously to all customers Assist the Sales Manager in overseeing daily sales operations and team performance Support staff training and development to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills. Engage with customers to provide product recommendations and resolve any inquiries or issues

Requirements

Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively Excellent communication skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction Excellent Customer Service skills 2 to 3 years of experience as a landscape installer and/or retail experience in a landscape supply store in a lead role Landscape material knowledge Proven organizational and leadership skills Accuracy in paperwork, attention to detail Critical thinking and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment Good mathematical skills Must be available to work Saturdays
