Why this role



WonderFil Specialty Threads is expanding across Canada and the US. We're looking for an Assistant Sales Manager who can organize a growing team, turn data into decisions, and help execute plans that drive revenue--while keeping our standards for service and brand education high.

What you'll do



Lead day-to-day team operations for a sales group of ~5-7, fostering a consistent cadence of activity and results Host weekly sales meetings: set agenda, capture minutes, publish action items, and follow through Build and coordinate quarterly business plans; support campaigns and territory execution Analyze CRM data to monitor pipeline health, conversion rates, and forecast accuracy; deliver weekly/monthly reports Liaise with US and international teams to align pricing, programs, and timelines; support key accounts as needed Uphold CRM hygiene and improve sales process/enablement materials Consolidate market and customer feedback to inform product and training priorities Act as a right-hand support to senior leadership on coaching, escalations, show planning, and program rollouts

What success looks like (first 6-12 months)



Consistent meeting cadence with clear actions and follow-through Accurate forecasts and clean CRM pipelines across territories Clear quarterly plans with measurable goals and post-mortems Improved reporting quality (on time, insight-driven, visually clear) Strong collaboration with US/international counterparts and key accounts

What you bring



Self-motivated, goal-oriented operator with creative + logical thinking skills Strong analytical ability with proven experience turning data into reports Proficient in written and visual presentation Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; English required, French preferred Organizational and management strengths for coordinating a 5-7 person team Strong IT/computer skills; hands-on CRM (e.g., HubSpot/Salesforce) and Excel/Sheets 3+ years' experience in sales, sales operations, or team coordination Undergraduate degree required Experience in sewing/quilting/wholesale (or adjacent craft/retail) preferred Able to travel within Canada/US and internationally; valid passport required

Compensation & work setup



Base salary: CAD $55,000-$75,000, depending on experience and skills Schedule: Full-time, on-site in Calgary, AB Travel: Domestic (Canada/US) and select international trips for shows, meetings, and trainings
