We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operations of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food service, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing restaurant workflows, and contributing to a positive dining environment. Previous experience in restaurant management, hospitality, or food industry roles such as hotel or barista experience is highly valued. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will play a key role in maintaining high standards of service, food quality, and team performance.

Responsibilities



Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth service flow. Supervise and motivate staff, including interviewing and training new team members. Ensure food preparation and cooking meet safety and quality standards. Manage POS systems such as Micros POS and handle cash transactions accurately. Oversee food handling procedures and enforce food safety regulations. Support customer service initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly. Coordinate with kitchen staff on food preparation, serving, and hospitality standards. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Lead by example in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health regulations. Assist with scheduling staff shifts and managing team performance to optimize productivity.

Qualifications



Proven experience in food service or restaurant management, including supervising teams. Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols. Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling skills are essential. Background in hospitality or hotel industry is a plus; barista experience is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally. Leadership qualities with experience in team management, interviewing, and training staff. Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of restaurant management practices including food handling, safety standards, and kitchen operations.
