to support the operations of the Registrar's Office. This role is key to maintaining accurate academic records, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory policies, and delivering exceptional service to students, faculty, and staff. The Assistant Registrar will assist in planning and overseeing registration, scheduling, and record maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage student registration, course scheduling, and academic records.
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of student records in accordance with
PIPEDA, PIPA, FOIP
, and institutional policies.
Support the evaluation and processing of transfer credits, transcripts, and graduation applications.
Collaborate with faculty and academic departments to ensure accurate course and curriculum information.
Generate reports and provide data analysis for institutional planning and accreditation.
Respond to inquiries from students, faculty, and external agencies in a timely and professional manner.
Assist with the implementation of academic policies and procedures.
Participate in system upgrades and testing for student information systems.
Supervise and train support staff or student assistants as required.
Qualifications
Minimum
2-3 years of experience
in higher education, preferably in a Registrar's office.
Knowledge of student information systems (e.g.,
Banner, PeopleSoft, Colleague, Campus Login
).
Familiarity with
PIPEDA, PIPA, FOIP
, and accreditation standards.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a
fast-paced environment
.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
