Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Receiver to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the shipping and receiving process, ensuring that all products are accurately processed and stored. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, inventory management, and the use of various warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

Assist in the unloading and loading of shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks. Accurately receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments while utilizing RF scanners. Maintain an organized inventory system by stocking products in designated locations. Process outgoing orders by picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels and order fulfillment. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the warehouse environment. Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with maintaining accurate records in MRP systems. Ensure compliance with safety standards while operating warehouse equipment.

Qualifications

Previous warehouse experience is preferred, particularly in shipping & receiving roles. Two years is preferred. Familiarity with e-commerce operations and order fulfillment processes is a plus. Proficient in using various warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 software is advantageous. Strong basic math skills for accurate inventory management and order processing. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members efficiently. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to safety practices within the workplace.
