Understand the structure and the tenants who occupy the Metropolitan.
Demonstrate strong administrative skills and leadership while working closely with the Property Manager, while screening applicants, updating resident ledgers, serving notices/evictions, preparing correspondence, following up with resident inquiries, delegating prospect leads, facilitating prospect tours, and facilitating management meetings when required.
Contribute to the development of The Metropolitan MOSAIC*, the bi-monthly resident newsletter, by working with the team and tenants to include engaging articles, updates, and creative inserts. Must be an energetic, upbeat, and fun individual who brings a positive attitude and a vibrant spirit to planning and promoting tenant & community events.
Work to foster camaraderie among residents through Racquet Sports/Table Tennis--Mobilizing YOGA Stretch & Flex Class--Activities (such as a Dog-Show)--Celebration Events -TGIF - music and art.
Support and collaborate with the leasing and management team
Duties and Responsibilities:
Proficient in Yardi, Voyager, and RentCafe systems, Canva, Excel, Teams and Word
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Property Manager, including coverage during absences for vacation or sick leave and being on-call
Process incoming and outgoing mail, both electronically and manually
Draft, proofread, and organize documents and correspondence, including Maintaining accurate filing systems
Monitor and report building infractions, maintenance issues, and general upkeeping
Research and report comparable market rates to upper management
Collect monthly rent payments and update resident ledgers accordingly
Investigate and respond to resident complaints and inquiries in a timely manner
Manage marketing efforts for The Met, including social media, advertising, and compiling and distributing The Met's bi-monthly newsletter
Process and screen all prospective tenant applications
Schedule and conduct tours for prospective residents
Coordinate with contractors for necessary repairs and facility maintenance
Conduct apartment inspections for move-ins and move-outs, as well as process deposit accounting and produce statements
Train and support leasing staff
Connecting with tenants 90-days prior to the expiry of their annual lease to ascertain their lease renewal and communicate any updates to monthly rental rates
Plan and facilitate all Met resident and community events
