Title: Assistant Property Manager

Reports to: Property Manager

This position will require you to travel to various buildings at times. Candidates must have a valid drivers license and reliable vehicle.

Summary of Responsibilities



Marketing & Customer Service:



Process applications provided by leasing staff. Maintain property ads and descriptions and keep vacancy up to date. Meet and interact with tenants in a friendly and professional manner. Approve notices for tenants and buildings. Update / process tenant information & parking / locker lists as needed. Monitor general mailboxes and respond as needed.

Property Repair & Maintenance:



Coordinate with the property manager and maintenance staff to ensure all maintenance is done is a timely manner. Monitor progress of repairs, maintenance and renovations carried out on buildings. Manage tenant maintenance requests including proper follow up to ensure satisfaction and timely completion. Inspection of buildings and vacant suites to report on any deficiencies and maintenance requests. Escalate maintenance requests as needed to vendors.

Administrative Duties:



Ensure timely processing and deposits of rental payments. Enter and maintain accurate records in the property management software. Assist and support Resident Managers as required. Ensure timely and accurate completion and entry of all leasing documentation, including application forms, Tenancy Agreements, move-in and move-out reports, and other supporting documentation. Monitor delinquency and process evictions / hearings as required. Attend RTB hearing as required. Maintain all rental records and reports as needed.

Qualifications



Education - High school diploma and post-secondary education in business administration and/or marketing an asset. Experience - 3-5 years experience (preferred) in leasing or property management. Relationship Skills- Highly motivated and driven; collaborative attitude. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills; ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships with other staff on the leasing team; committed to building relationships with residents. Organizational/Multi-Task Skills - Ability to allocate one's time effectively, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines; ability to achieve quality results, ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities and adapt to new ideas and constant changes; results-oriented, detail-oriented and accurate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
